Some kids on our street had a lemonade stand yesterday and so the girls wanted to do their own today. They wanted to add some other treats to it too. Isabelle had borrowed this children's cookbook from the library and wanted to try out some of the recipes in it. They decided to make some Poppy's Chocolate Chip Muffins and some Chocolate Brownies. The brownies called for walnuts and Izzy made absolute sure that Ben bought some at the store for her. When we went to put them in the bowl I had her try one first and she spat it out! None of the girls liked the walnuts and so we had no walnuts in the brownies.
There were not a lot of people out for the lemonade stand, but the three kids who live down the street did come and buy some lemonade and treats. It was more successful than the one they had last year, where it rained and nobody came. The girls had a lot of fun making the treats and sign, and setting it all up.
